“River Rest is absolutely the most beautiful, tranquil venue if you are looking for an affordable, cozy lakeside wedding. The staff is incredibly helpful, it really took my mind off the stress of my big day. The view from the house out onto Lake Logan Martin is stunning, and there is so much plant-life around the house that I barely had to decorate.

I had a June wedding, which means it was hot and sticky outside, but nearly the entire outside space at River Rest is shaded so it wasn’t a problem. My caterers were very impressed with their large kitchen.

There is SO much cozy space inside that you’ll have free reign to decorate as you please. I kept all of the furniture in their original locations because it gave my guests lots of comfortable seating post-meal.

I can’t recommend River Rest enough!”

“We attended Stevie R.s’ Wedding. We really enjoyed the country riverside home atmosphere. The place is really beautiful and the view awesome. The host/owners are so gracious they make you feel at home. All of the outdoor living space is so comfortable and spacious, perfect for even a fairly large gathering. I think that was the best wedding I have ever attended.”

“I came to a dear friend of mines wedding here yesterday and I can’t even begin to desrcibe how gorgeous this whole entire property is. The staff went above and beyond to make yesterday perfect. The owner of the property was talking to us towards the end and telling us about all of the work he has done to make the property what it is today. He personally made additions to the house and also right across from the property is the lake. On the lake there is this tiny little island with trees. The owner was telling me when he first bought the property you couldn’t see the lake because the little island was so overgrown. So he personally cleared some of the vegitation so not only can you see his beautiful house from the lake but you have a million dollar view from the front porch. I will definitely recommend River Rest to all of my friends and I will definitely be back!”

“I was the photographer to a wedding just this last weekend. The owners introduced themselves and were very helpful and gracious. At one point during the wedding I had a malfunction with my sd card in my camera. One of the owners, Richard, rushed to get his laptop and spare sd cards in an effort to help us so the brides day would remain perfect .Now that’s great customer service. I was hired help, not a paying customer, but they were so determined to make sure the bride and groom had a fabulous day that they aided me. And it is solely because of Richard that the bride has a full 8 hours of photographic memories. Thank you Richard. And Ellen was nice enough to let us move her chairs and plants around during the First Look photo session. The B&B /wedding venue is absolutely beautiful and well maintained. I highly recommend it.”
